• Step 1. Call the NCI Clinical Studies Support Center.  The easiest way to find a study that may be appropriate for you is to call the National Cancer Institute’s Clinical Studies Support Center (CSSC) at 1-888-624-1937 weekdays, 9:00 am - 5pm (eastern time).  Also check out their web site.  
• Step #2: Contact your physician.
• Step #3: Schedule and participate in a screening visit.
• Step #4: Decide whether to enroll.

There are a number of sources on information about the open clinical trials and the recruitment criteria.  Women considering clinical trials are encouraged to discuss this issue and search the Internet for available information.  Links to start you search include:

• The National Cancer Institute offers information to assist women understand the importance of clinical trials and information to determine whether she might benefit in participation.  This site also contains a listing of the current trials.
